Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 July 2026
These terms govern your use of MySafeInfo (the "Service"). By using the Service or buying a pass, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The service
MySafeInfo provides curated reference datasets through a web API and website. We gather, clean, and format information that is generally publicly available. We do not claim ownership of the underlying facts, and we make no guarantee that any dataset is accurate, complete, or current.
Data is provided "as is"
The datasets are provided for your convenience without warranty of any kind. You are responsible for deciding whether a dataset is suitable for your use. Do not rely on it for any purpose where an error could cause harm or loss.
Passes and licenses
Free and Developer use. You may use the data in your own applications, projects, prototypes, research, teaching, and internal business operations.
Commercial use. A Commercial pass is required to incorporate the data into a product or service you sell or provide to third parties.
Not permitted. Reselling or redistributing the datasets in bulk as a competing data service; sharing or publishing your API key; attempting to exceed or circumvent your tier's rate limits; and any use that violates law or infringes the rights of others.
Payment, term, and refunds
Passes are a one-time charge in U.S. dollars, processed by Stripe. A pass is valid for 365 days from purchase and does not automatically renew. To continue after it expires, you buy another pass, which extends your existing key.
All sales are final. Passes are non-refundable. Because access is granted immediately on purchase, we do not offer refunds, in whole or in part, including for unused time or if you stop using the Service.
Your API key
Keep your key confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your key. We may suspend or revoke a key that is used abusively, shared publicly, or used in violation of these terms, without a refund.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee any level of uptime or availability. We may change, limit, add, or discontinue datasets or features, including the free tier, at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MySafeInfo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MySafeInfo harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Indiana, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
